Choose items for a purpose: an invitation announces the event, an RSVP collects replies, a menu explains the meal, and seating stationery helps guests find their places. There is no required universal set. Agree quantities, personalisation and delivery for every item.
In this guide
Before the event: invite guests and collect replies
A save-the-date announces the date early if you choose a separate card. The main invitation gives guests essential details. An insert can hold information that would make the main card hard to read.
Agree how guests should reply: a separate RSVP card, a contact or a link. If you use a QR code, check the destination and scan a printed proof at the agreed size. A code still needs clear instructions and a reply deadline.
At the venue: help guests find their way
A seating chart helps guests find their table; a table number identifies it; a place card identifies an individual seat. Confirm the seating arrangement with the venue before personalisation. Menus may be individual or shared. The organiser or catering contact must approve the dish names.
Choose welcome-sign details for its intended position and reading distance. Stands, fixings, assembly and placement are separate tasks; do not assume they are included.
Matching design does not mean matching quantities
A collection connects colours, layout and typography across items. Choose the pieces you need and state a quantity for each. An invitation presentation box is a design element; protective shipping packaging is a separate consideration. Thank-you cards and tags can be requested as additions.
- List what guests need before the event and at the venue.
- Choose items for those tasks.
- State quantity, personalisation and destination for each.
- Request separate quote lines for additions and delivery.
Put your stationery brief together
Choose a design idea or send your own artwork. State quantities for each item, printed languages, event location and preferred delivery destination and date. The team will check production options and prepare a quote.
