Count recipients and sets as well as guests. A couple or household may share an invitation; count inserts and envelopes separately. You choose any spares. Minimum quantities and quantity increments must be confirmed in the quote.

Start with recipients
Group guests into couples, households and individual recipients. Mark anyone who needs a separate invitation, such as an adult guest with a different address. Keep the guest count separate: it can determine menu or place-card quantities.
For example, 8 invitations for couples and 4 individual recipients make 12 sets. If you choose 2 spare copies, the total is 14. This is arithmetic, not a minimum order or a required spare allowance.
Count each item separately
Do not apply the invitation quantity to every item. An RSVP card might go into every set; menus might be individual or shared by a table. Only some recipients may need envelopes. Explain the intended use in your enquiry.
| Item | What to count |
|---|---|
| Invitation | Recipient sets and separate spares |
| Envelope | Copies for the selected sets |
| RSVP card | Whether every recipient needs one |
| Place card | Guests with assigned seats |
Separate quantities from guest names
Distinguish personalised copies from unnamed spares. An initial quote needs quantities and languages rather than the full guest list. Share personal details through a private channel after agreeing the task. Ask for an updated quote if the contents change.
- Group recipients.
- Choose the contents of each set.
- Count each item and language version.
- State spares separately and ask about quantity restrictions.
Put your stationery brief together
Choose a design idea or send your own artwork. State quantities for each item, printed languages, event location and preferred delivery destination and date. The team will check production options and prepare a quote.
