What date and recipient details should I give when ordering from abroad?

Start with the date at the destination

When you and the recipient are in different countries, “tomorrow evening” can be ambiguous. Give a calendar date and preferred time with the destination city. The form has a date field; add your timing preferences to the description.

1. Select the recipient city in the form.
2. Enter the event date in that city.
3. Write the preferred local time and any flexible window in the description.
4. Wait for confirmation: submitting a request does not reserve a time or confirm the order.

Provide a workable handover brief

Include the complete address, a map pin if helpful, the recipient name and a contact at the destination. For a surprise, state who may discuss the details and who should not be called without agreement.

For a hotel request, ask the venue whether it accepts deliveries, who can receive the cake and how that person can be reached. A hotel name does not establish that a handover is possible. The service and the venue must agree on the specific arrangements.

A description you can adapt

“The event is on 12 December in the recipient city, preferably at 18:00 local time. This is a surprise; please discuss details with me. Address and local contact: […]. Please confirm date availability, handover arrangements and the total.” Do not include identity documents or payment-card details in the request description.

Timing for Thailand, Bali, Vietnam and European cities

Pattaya, Bangkok and Koh Samui share a time zone. Nha Trang and Da Nang have the same clock time, but you should still give the specific city and calendar date. Matching clocks do not establish shared production or delivery hours.

Bali is one hour ahead of those cities. A time discussed as 18:00 in Bangkok is 19:00 in Bali. For a Bali recipient, write the preferred Bali time instead of reusing the time from a previous Thai order.

The time difference between Thailand and Barcelona or Prague changes during the year. For example, 18:00 in Bangkok corresponded to 12:00 in those cities in January 2026 and 13:00 in July. Do not automatically reuse that difference for another date: send the local event date and time. These are clock examples, not available delivery slots.
